“My work is a celebration of light filled moments revealed in rich and vibrant oil paint using my personal visual language of fresh and direct brushmarks. Painting at home working from still life or interior or simply a photo of a landscape or street scene. I find beauty in the ordinary, mundane and intimate rather than the grand vista. Coastal locations, street scenes, domestic interiors provide me with rich and endless subject material. My approach is one of simplicity trying to achieve and capture light and shadow with beautiful colour and striving to make every mark count in my earnest pursuance of capturing the poetry of a fleeting effect of light.”

”I have to say how much I enjoyed this month’s apprentice article. Have had a very enjoyable day shooting and creating ‘works of art’ such a joy to find a way out of the monotony of finding inspiration within walking distance” (NPhoto Article)"
